It’s always hard to know how your first child will respond to having a new baby arrive.  For our son the arrival of his brother began with excitement and curiosity, followed by disinterest, rejection, resolve and finally it was as though it had always been.

While this transition transpired, my husband was keen to create an activity he and our son could work on together, a project to occupy them while I was all consumed with the breast feeding and new sleep routines (or lack thereof) with Jack’s little brother Isaac.  As he’s a film-maker, it was natural that they make a film about how Jack might feel about his brothers impending arrival.  This is the result ‘A Boy’s Dream’ Please watch and enjoy, leave me a comment as I’d love to know how you handled your own new arrivals.
